Employees Give Back

Great Basin Employees Give Back

Mission Statement

We aim to be compassionate colleagues who invest our personal resources toward building a better local community for all.

Local Organizations We’ve Supported

Every quarter, we are proud to donate to deserving organizations that are working hard to make a difference in the community. These funds come from our employees who donate a portion of their paychecks, not because they have to, but because they want to.

See the Impact

We’re proud of the impacts our team and the non-profits we support have on our community. But don’t take our word for it, check out our latest sit-down with a recent Employees Give Back donation recipients.

How Organizations are Selected

Each quarter, any employees who contribute to the Employees Give Back Fund via payroll deduction, are asked to submit the names of organizations they wish to support. These could be organizations they’re involved with, one that a member told them about, or just an organization they discovered that supports a cause near and dear to their heart. All organizations are collected and researched, and summary information about them is dispersed to all contributors to read about and to vote on their top three choices. This is such a cool process for the employees to learn about new charities, non-profit organizations, and community groups in our area! Whichever organization gets the most votes for the quarter is selected!

Gerardina Rodriguez,
Employees Give Back Program Director

“As director of the Employees Give Back Program. I really enjoy supporting our partners and advocating to make a difference in our community. Here at Great Basin. we all give a damn. We are all very passionate about living out our Credit Union’s Core Values both in and out of the branch. We are here to make a difference in our communities across Northern Nevada and The Treasure Valley, Idaho, not because we have to but because we want to.”
