Great Basin Federal Credit Union offers $1,000 scholarship each year to a student pursuing education or training beyond high school. The Great Basin FCU scholarship was started in 2003 by Elisabeth Hadler, our Chief Marketing Officer. The scholarship was developed to financially support students who contribute to the community and have a passion for the selected field of study. The GBFCU educational scholarship is offered once a year to credit union members. We love making a difference in the lives of credit union and community members.

Our 2012 scholarship recipient, Leah, explained how the GBFCU scholarship made a difference in her education. Leah said, “Earning this scholarship made a big difference to help me stay out of debt while studying to become a nurse. I love that my credit union gives back to the community in this way, and I plan to pay it forward in giving back to my community too.”
