What is the Annual Meeting, and why should you come?
Great Basin hosts an Annual Meeting each May for our members and employees. Since we are member-owned and member-loved, Great Basin gives members a chance to mingle with Great Basin employees, our wonderful CEO Jennifer, and our awesome Board of Directors.
Before working at Great Basin, I had no idea how open the credit union was to our members. The Annual Member Meeting is one of the many ways that members can voice their opinions, ask questions, and be more involved int he cooperative nature of the credit union. In addition, the Annual Meeting is a chance for members to learn about what the credit union does as a whole, giving updates from the year prior of larger strategic changes the credit union has made. You will get a glimpse of Great Basin’s history, learn more about our products and services, see annual report comparisons, learn where we have been involved in the community, and see our student scholarship awards be presented at this meeting.
This year’s meeting took place at our newly remodeled Sparks Crossing Branch (and from the photos, I wish I would have been there). This meeting is beneficial for both our members and our employees! Complementary food and prizes were also gifted to the members who attended the meeting to show appreciation for their involvement and dedication. If you are interested in reading more about the credit union, an Annual Report for 2018 is displayed inside all three branch locations and online here.
