Who we are
Great Basin Federal Credit Union has been a member of the community since our charter on January 11, 1951. What began as a 50-member credit union for employees of the Reno-Bell Phone Company has grown to a community chartered credit union serving close to 15,000 people. Our philosphy of building personable relationships with our members still remains a core value to the volunteer board of directors and dedicated staff at Great Basin Federal Credit Union.
Our committment to education
Great Basin Federal Credit Union has a very strong committment to training. We have a full-time training manager who continually develops new classes and programs while improving existing ones as well. Our initial training course for new employees is comprehensive and works hand-in-hand with a mentoring program designed to ensure that each individual is up to speed. In keeping with our overall committment to help each employee fulfill his or her potential, we offer ongoing training in regulations and operating standards as well as products and services.
