Credit unions are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee who are members of the credit union (just like you!) and offer their expertise to help the credit union navigate through decisions. If you would like a direct and active role in how the credit union operates and in representing the needs and desires of your fellow members, we urge you to volunteer for the Supervisory Committee.
We have two positions available on the Supervisory Committee. To volunteer for the Supervisory Committee, you must be a Great Basin Federal Credit Union member who is at least 18 years of age.
Great Basin FCU Supervisory Committee qualifications:
- Must make the time and effort to perform the duties of a Committee Member
- Prepare for, attend and participate in periodic meetings and audits
- May not be related to or live with a current Great Basin FCU Board member, Committee Member or employee
- Must be of current sound financial standing (a credit report may be required)
- Must be an active member of Great Basin FCU and use its products/services
- Must be willing to attend educational meetings and seminars to further his/her knowledge of Great Basin FCU and the credit union movement
