Great Basin Federal Credit Union ::/ How to Apply for a Loan

Loan Applications can be done in person or online for all loan types with the exception of Home Equity or 2nd Mortgage Loans.  Home Equity or 2nd Mortgage Loans have specific information that must be disclosed and therefore must generally be done in any Great Basin Federal Credit Union branch office.

To process any loan application at Great Basin Federal Credit Union, the following information is required to begin:

  • Loan application
         - Can be completed at a branch location or online by clicking here
  • Proof of income may be required

To process an auto or recreational vehicle application purchased from a dealer, the following additional information is required:

  • Copy of Purchase Agreement
  • Copy of Dealers Report of Sale, showing Great Basin Federal Credit Union as the lien holder with an address of PO Box 25119 Lehigh Valley, PA 18002
  • Insurance Binder showing Great Basin Federal Credit Union as the loss payee, full coverage with a maximum deductible of $1000.00 must be enforced for the term of the loan. The address for loss payee is 9770 S. Virginia Street, Reno NV 89511
  • A Nevada DMV fee will be collected at the time of the loan closing to perfect the title; watercraft loans will require an additional Department of Wildlife title fee

To process an auto or recreational vehicle application purchased from a private party or to refinance from another institution, the following additional information is required:

  • Insurance binder showing Great Basin Federal Credit Union as the loss payee, full coverage with a maximum deductible of $1000.00 must be enforced for the term of the loan. The address for loss payee is 9770 S. Virginia Street, Reno NV 89511
  • Copy of the title front and back (salvaged titles are not accepted)
  • If there is a balance owing on the vehicle, we will need the lien holder name, address, phone number and account number
  • The seller of the vehicle must be present at the loan closing to sign documents Great Basin Federal Credit Union may require
  • A vehicle inspection will be performed at the time of the loan closing
  • A Nevada DMV fee will be collected at the time of the loan closing to perfect the title; Boat loans will require an additional Department of Wildlife title fee

To process a signature or Visa loan, the following additional information is required:

  • Copies of any bills or invoices being paid off with the signature or Visa loan

To process a Home Equity or 2nd Mortgage Loan, Great Basin Federal Credit Union will provide you with specific documentation that must be returned with the completed application.  In addition the following information will be required:

  • Current Mortgage statement

To process a Mortgage Loan at Great Basin Federal Credit Union, requests will be made by the Loan Processor for specific documentation needed.  To begin the process you can contact a Credit Union representative in person or over the telephone and they will take your information to refer to our Mortgage Specialist, or you can click here to fill out our online application.
