Great Basin Federal Credit Union ::/ Email Policy

GENERAL
As part of an effort to increase member awareness on a host of topics as well as remain compliant with federal regulations as they relate to a number of banking services, Great Basin Federal Credit Union automatically enrolls members in our email correspondence unless otherwise requested.

REQUIRED EMAILS
Certain programs and account types, by federal regulation, require email correspondence to members. For example, our e-statement enrolled members receive a monthly email to inform them that their e-statements are ready to be viewed. In order to remain in the program and qualify for a particular account type and its associated benefits, a member must continue to accept delivery of this notice monthly. If a participating member opts-out or reports these types of mailings as SPAM, he will be unenrolled from the program, account type may change and fees may be applied.

MANAGING EMAIL SUBSCRIPTIONS AND OPTING-OUT
Great Basin maintains a number of email list categories. These categories include, but are not limited to:

Credit Union Advocacy
Disclosures
E-Statement Notification
Fraud Warnings
Promotions
Service Alerts

By default, any member with a valid email address, not specifically removed from any or all lists will receive mailings. To unsubscribe from any of these lists, please click "Manage Your Subscription" at the bottom of the email you received. You will see a screen similar to this one:

You may uncheck any or all of the lists you wish to remove your email address from. Remember, when new lists are created, even members who have opted out of all of the other lists may still get an email from the new list. To remove yourself from all future mailings, you may click on the checkbox under "Do Not Contact". This action is permanent. If you plan to participate in any program in the future to qualify for better rates or fewer fees, DO NOT click this check box. When your desired changes have been made, you must click the "Submit" button to proceed.

OPTING BACK IN
If, at any time, you accidentally opt-out of a particular list you can opt back in either using the "Manage Your Subscription" link at the bottom of the original email or any subsequent email you may receive from any other list mailings. If you choose to unsubscribe from all lists, you must either have the original email or wait until another list is created and you receive a mailing from it to opt back in to any other list. If the "Do Not Contact" option is used, you must have the original email to remove yourself from the "Do Not Contact" list. If the original email cannot be located, you must setup a new email account and either call a representative at 775-333-4228 or update your email account through the online banking system.

REPORTING GREAT BASIN MAIL AS SPAM
It is never Great Basin's intention to send our members unsolicited or unwanted email. Please do not report Great Basin emails as SPAM. If you do not wish to receive any further email communications, please "Manage Your Subscription" at the bottom of the email and select the "Do Not Contact" checkbox. This will remove your email address for any future mailings. As stated above, if you are in a program with required email communications, some penalties may apply.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY
Great Basin will never sell or give your email information to any third party. We will also, never ask you to verify account information via email or any associated links.
