Great Basin Federal Credit Union ::/ Filing Disputes

Account Transaction Disputes:

An individual who believes there has been fraud on their account should contact the Credit Union immediately.  In the case of debit or credit card fraud, the card should be blocked.  In the case of fraud involving routing and account number information, in most circumstances the account number should be changed to avoid potential fraud in the future.

To dispute an item, please come into any Great Basin Federal Credit Union branch location.  Legitimate disputes include transactions not authorized fraudulently on card or account. We are unable to dispute items that you do not wish to pay due to contractual disputes, such as monthly gym membership payments or final payments to cable companies.  Depending on the type of transaction and the amount of the dispute, the following information may be required:

  • List of fraudulent transactions
  • Any receipt copies for items altered or not received
  • Police report
